Meet IT Manager Chris Ryan

Orchestrating the online mass of The Libra Company, IT Manager Chris Ryan joined the business just last year. We caught up with the man behind the computer screen

What is your job title?
IT Manager

How long have you been with Libra?
59 years no I’m joking! Only 6 months!

What were you doing before you joined Libra?
I was still in the IT industry, working for New Store Europe as the IT Manager.

Where did you learn your skills?
I studied hard at college and university.

What is the most important aspect of your job role at Libra?
At the moment it’s documentation and organisation. I also have to maintain the core services throughout the process.

How have you seen the company grow since working for them?
It’s definitely become more organised and less reactive in the last few months.

What has been your input in the company’s growth?
I’ve been able to install standard process implementations to make it easier to use our system.

How do you hope to see the company develop in the future?
I want to make the IT services more stream-lined and user friendly. Everyone needs to be on the same system.

What keeps you motivated?
I like IT I like what I do!

What’s the best part of your job?
It’s definitely completing a project and being able to move Libra from old technology to new.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Looking after my horse, working out and keeping fit!
