The Libra Company Celebrates With Friends
On Saturday 21st June, clients, merchandisers, territorial managers and friends of The Libra Company gathered together in the historic horseracing town of Newmarket for a day of fun at the races.
Meeting at the luxury 4* Bedford Lodge Hotel, the sun was shining as everyone was greeted with a glass of Champagne before making the short journey to The July Racecourse in Newmarket at midday.
Famed as the ‘home of horseracing’ expectations were high for the racing venue, which certainly did not disappoint. Guided towards a luxury corporate tent, just metres away from the finishing post, The Libra Company grouped with just enough time to pick up a racecard and place the first bet of the day.
Gathering outside against the railings, the group has a great view as the horses came thundering past presenting a flash of colours as they fought each other for first place.
Met by the screams of some successful betters, light-hearted works of congratulations and some commiserations floated through the tent, presenting a great atmosphere for all.
As the saying goes, time flies when you’re having fun, with the day’s racing coming to an end but the fun did not stop there. Making an exit back towards the town, some with heavier pockets than when they arrived, we embarked on the short trip back to the hotel where the group were able to unwind after all the excitement.
Regrouping later that evening in the grounds of the Bedford Lodge Hotel, guests enjoyed a delicious barbecue, surrounded by a variety of Libra’s finest lanterns that glowed all night long.
Welcoming the soulful sounds of singer Mickey Fordola, the air filled with natter of the day’s events and those further enjoying the relaxed atmosphere.
Drifting off to bed one by one, guests enjoyed a peaceful night’s sleep, all resting safe with the knowledge that the next day presented the first day of the Libra Open Week.
It was definitely a day to remember!
